Slow , boring, and long. Could not finish this book. Thought it might just take a while to get interesting, it just never picked up.
Black Marks piles on the tension and propels the reader forward. Bad guy or good guy? Read the book and decide... and enjoy the ride. Only one complaint - the book made me leave late for work... couldn't put the rotten thing down. ;-)
Great werewolf book. With the exception of a few grammatical errors and word usage that was not local to Detroit, definitely one of the better books.
On its surface Black Marks is a well delivered werewolf novel. Deeper down, it’s all about doing the right thing, even when it’s difficult. Loved this book both for the metaphor and the delivery.
...And I will recommend your book to my friends. I like that idea of man child wolf only at birth, however, your transition from wofl mind to cognizant, was rather weak. I enjoyed your wolf book, enough to where I will purchase more of the Werewolf types... Thx., Pete
I thought the werewolf thing had been to death. I was wrong. This is a first rate book and one of those books that make me regret I'm a speed reader.
I gave this book 5 stars because it kept calling to me when I had to put it down! Also it was a very different and original take on the beast and his man but still had all the scary werewolf stuff we all know and love. Hope the author writes another.
